En consonancia con todo lo ya indicado, no dejó de sorprendernos la actitud liberticida de un funcionario (¿a?) académico o administrativo de la Sede de Liberia de nuestra Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica, de nombre Eliu Morales, a raÃz de los contenidos de nuestra columna anterior, en la que hacÃamos alusión a la vocación totalitaria que ha mostrado, con tanto afán, la derecha en nuestra área continental.
En su recibido de los contenidos de nuestra columna, número 256, titulada Ecuador: las tácticas de la derecha totalitaria, nos indicó lo siguiente: "Comentario más izquierdista. Por favor opine objetivamente, esto lo leen muchos estudiantes nuevos que pueden ver distorsionada la realidad".
No dejar de ser grato el pensar que muchos estudiantes pudieran estar leyéndonos, pero la verdad es que no podemos reconocernos tan optimistas a ese respecto. Ahora bien, en cuanto a que la academia por buena que sea, aun las Harvard ticas como le gustaba decir al recordado Luis Ferrero para referirse a nuestras principales universidades, pueda evitarle a los estudiantes el penoso camino hacia la construcción del conocimiento, librándolos de tener que enfrentarse con las múltiples y complejas distorsiones de la realidad, una compleja entelequia inaprensible por lo demás, nuestro optimismo disminuye aun más, ante tan imposible tarea.
Extraña sintaxis la del amigo o amiga de la Sede de Liberia, cuando habla en términos de una oración dentro de la que el sujeto es el comentario y la acción o atributo es la de ser izquierdista. Puede ser que estemos equivocados, pues en nuestra ingenuidad o supina ignorancia, habÃamos pensado que los individuos o sujetos son los que pueden ser ubicables como izquierdistas o derechistas y no los entes abstractos, a semejanza de las mónadas o entidades de las que hablaba el filósofo alemán del siglo XVIII, Leibnitz.
En cuanto a la objetividad, suele suceder muchas veces que quienes la proclaman, con más frecuencia, son los más carentes de ella. La pregunta esencial hay que hacérsela a los hechos mismos: ¿El jueves 30 de septiembre, recién pasado, hubo o no hubo una intentona de golpe de Estado en la República de El Ecuador?
