El Gobierno de la República ha propuesto, como medida para enfrentar una posible crisis, la capitalización por hasta $100 millones de los tres banco del Estado.
"Queremos ofrecerle nuestro apoyo al Gobierno para que ejecute esta medida en el tanto es necesario asegurar que los sectores productivos cuenten con fuentes de financiamiento oportunas" afirmó el presidente de la comisión polÃtica del PAC Ottón SolÃs.
Desde el Partido Acción Ciudadana era una necesidad que el gobierno aplicara las medidas sugeridas recientemente en la carta que le remitió Ottón SolÃs, el 14 de octubre de este año al Presidente de la República.
La capitalización de la Banca Estatal va en la dirección correcta. Es urgente tomar esta y otras medidas, la economÃa costarricense está debilitada en este periodo de turbulencia financiera, presenta una balanza de pagos altamente deficitaria y una tasa de inflación que solo es superada por dos paÃses en América Latina.
El PAC reconoce la conveniencia de la medida por parte del Gobierno y le sugiere emitir directrices para que el crédito beneficie a las pequeñas y medianas empresas y cooperativas, y éste no se convierta en una fuente de financiamiento barato para las empresas transnacionales o el capital extranjero.
